The firm has grown one project at a time. Every cycle has been weathered without a project default or investor write-down — the company history laid out as six discrete chapters of build-out, capability formation, and capital structure.

    Founded in Auckland

    5 Star NZ Limited established by Satnam Satta with a focus on residential development across the Auckland metropolitan area.

  2. 02

    Commercial pivot

    Expanded into mixed-use commercial development, building the in-house delivery team that still leads every project today.

  3. 03

    Acquisition arm

    Launched the project acquisition and repositioning practice — buying under-performing assets and bringing them back to premium operating standard.

  4. 04

    Heritage renovation studio

    Established the in-house heritage renovation team to handle period restoration as a distinct discipline.

  5. 05

    Portfolio milestone

    Crossed a meaningful threshold in cumulative project value, with every project delivered without default.

  6. 06

    Project Investment Programme

    Formalised the investor participation framework — qualified investors taking direct equity in our developments.
